December 14, 1920, will always be remembered because on this day, the oldest and most progressive political party in India was born. Punjab has never been the same since then, and this change has been made possible through the continuous and tireless efforts of the Shiromani Akali Dal. It is the unity of leaders with similar ideas that has always kept the interests of Punjab at the forefront and has fought for them whenever necessary. Since the formation of the Shiromani Akali Dal, its entire history has been a glorious testament to its patriotism. Over the years, the many struggles, protests, countless victories, and achievements it has attained during this time are proof of what it has accomplished for Punjab and its people. By embedding every effort in the soil of secularism and democracy, it has worked to uplift every section of society, providing irrigation facilities, electricity plants, and airport facilities, constructing wider highways for smooth and uninterrupted travel, and bringing reforms that benefit the people of Punjab. All of this has been made possible due to the special leadership of Sukhbir Singh Badal.
